VICTORIAN 15K 15C GOLD JADE ROCK CRYSTAL NEGLIGEE NECKLACE 17 1/4 INCHES UNUSUAL

Description

Offered for sale is a lovely and unusual, solid 15 karat or 15 carat, solid yellow and rose gold acorn negligee necklace. The necklace opens and closes with a secure push in clasp that is hallmarked for 15C, a British Commonwealth designation for gold that is slightly higher than 14k.
The necklace extends approximately 14 1/2 inches to a fancy filigree oval piece from which two, dark green acorns dangle. The acorns are comprised of rock quartz, sandwiched between what looks to be jade of some sort. The larger acorn measures roughly 26 mm from the top of the jump ring by 12 mm around at the widest point. The smaller acorn measures approximately 20 mm from the jump ring by 11 mm at the widest point. The stones are in good condition with some natural inclusions and the necklace and stones have some minor surface scratches from age and normal wear.
The backside of the necklace has some gold splotches on the filigree top of the dangle, otherwise the necklace is the same on both sides. The piece is well made and weighs a nice 14.6 grams on my scale.
It
is in beautiful condition for it's
